Birds at Rio Mesa
Below is a basic guide to birds observed at Rio Mesa. Birds are among the most common wildlife seen and studied at the field station. The Sekercioglu Lab (Biology Department, University of Utah) has operated a bird banding station at Rio Mesa since the spring of 2012, collecting longitudinal data about bird species along the Dolores River. Species occurence is documented on Rio Mesa eBird list. Download a bird list for Rio Mesa here. Check out the Arches National Park species list for more bird species found nearby. |
