The bird banding operation at Bonderman Field Station at Rio Mesa is an ongoing partnership with the Sekercioglu Lab.   Banding operations have been running fall and spring since 2011, with the exception of spring 2020. The banding station provides research training and educational opportunities for all station visitors, as well as providing long-term monitoring data to support the research community at-large. The Rio Mesa banding station data is uploaded to eBird daily.
