|
Order
Passeriformes
Family
Troglodytidae
Genus
Cistothorus
Description: The Marsh Wren spends its summers all over the United States and Southern half of Canada before heading to the Southern US and much of Mexico for the winters. It is a common sight, but undeniably beautiful to see and hear in the field. One can identify this bird by looking for its black-and-white streaked back, dark cap, and white "eyebrow".
